Day-O’ Fashioned Cocktail Recipe
A modern Old Fashioned riff served at Berwick’s Bird of Paradise — a tropical take that adds banana liqueur and cold-brew coffee concentrate to a spirit-forward base for a slightly sweet, coffee-banana twist on the classic.

Ingredients
- 1.75 fl oz Bourbon
- 0.5 fl oz Banana Liqueur
- 0.5 fl oz Cold Brew Concentrate
- 0.33 fl oz Demarara Syrup (1:1) or Simple Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Instructions
- Combine bourbon, banana liqueur, cold brew concentrate, demerara (or simple) syrup and Angostura bitters in a mixing glass.
- Add ice and stir until well-chilled and properly diluted (about 20–30 seconds).
- Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- Express an orange peel over the drink, rub the rim with the peel and drop it in as garnish.
