Kentucky Buck Cocktail Recipe
A modern classic bourbon cocktail created by Erick Castro around 2008-2009. It is a fruity riff on the classic Buck (spirit, citrus, ginger) featuring muddled strawberry, lemon juice, simple syrup, Angostura bitters, and ginger beer for a refreshing, effervescent drink.

Ingredients
- 1-2 medium Strawberry
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 3 oz Ginger Beer
Instructions
- Gently muddle the strawberry with the simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Add the bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and Angostura bitters.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
- Double strain into a highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with ginger beer and stir gently to combine.
